Motorized Turntable Cake

For our friends Jamie & Andy’s wedding, I constructed this custom turntable cake to highlight Andy’s skills as a DJ here in Nashville. (hire both of these people— they’re fantastically creative!) 

I created a yummy creation of the classic yellow cake & chocolate icing… topped off with chocolate fondant and turntable details. Below is the completely edible chocolate record:

Fondant elements (really didnt know what pieces i was making here, just going off of the real thing :) )

Coming together, the entire cake was covered in chocolate fondant and each detail was carefully placed. The motor well was also covered to minimize goopy frosting all over my electric components :)
